1. choose a reasonable radar level meter antenna form and material according to the corrosive strength of the medium. The medium to be measured is highly corrosive, so an antenna with strong corrosion resistance must be selected. The antenna with strong corrosion resistance is installed in the tank to resist long-term corrosion from media such as sulfuric acid. Generally, when we measure corrosive media, we will choose PTFE antenna material for radar level meter.
2. determine the temperature properties of the measured medium. If the measured medium temperature is high, the medium will produce gasification or steam in the tank, which will affect the band propagation of the radar level meter. Secondly, the temperature is too high. The antenna in front of the level meter has a temperature range. Generally, the radar level meter can withstand a temperature of 130°C. If the temperature is too high, you need to choose a high temperature resistant material and do heat dissipation.
3. On-site installation requirements Since the on-site medium is particularly corrosive, after installation and debugging, all inlets must be sealed with waterproof glue and the cover screws must be tightened. At this time, use a thick plastic bag to wrap the entire radar level meter head, which is a low-cost and effective method. The installation angle should be considered to prevent leakage.
4. Other precautions Because the on-site measurement medium is corrosive, the flange selection of the radar level meter must take into account corrosion, and the accessories, meter heads, and other materials must also consider corrosion. Radar level meters have advantages in measuring corrosive media because they are non-contact measurements and do not need to remove the medium. As long as we reasonably apply the radar level meter selection, I believe the on-site use effect will be good.
