It is suitable for clean or basically clean pipeline pressure relative to constant fuel gas and single-phase gas in industries such as petroleum, chemical industry, city gas, metallurgy, mining, etc., such as natural gas, propane, butane, ethylene, nitrogen, air, etc. In addition, electromagnetic flowmeters are also used in chemical fiber, food, papermaking, sugar making, mining, water supply and drainage, environmental protection, steel, petroleum, gardening, agricultural irrigation, pharmaceuticals and other industrial fields. So what we need to consider is, what kind of external environment does the electromagnetic flowmeter need to provide during operation? It is divided into the following points:
(1) The measured fluid medium must be conductive and fill the pipe.
(2) The flow meter measurement system must be well grounded.
(3) The straight pipe sections before and after the flow meter meet the specified technical requirements.
(4) Avoid strong electromagnetic field interference near the flow meter.
(5) It should be installed in a dry and ventilated place as far as possible, away from sunlight and rain. The ambient temperature should be between -20 and +60°C, and the relative humidity should be less than 85%. Avoid installation in places with strong corrosive gases.
(6) There should be enough space around the flow meter for installation and maintenance. Choose a place with no vibration or small vibration amplitude. If the vibration is too large, fixed supports should be added to the pipes before and after the sensor.
(7) Select a place where there will be no negative pressure in the measuring tube. If there is a certain amount of turbulence and eddy current in the pipeline generated in the non-measuring area (such as elbows, tangential flow restrictions, or a half-open check valve upstream), it has nothing to do with the measurement.
(8) Electromagnetic flowmeters have high standards for fluid cleanliness, and filters must be installed in front of the flowmeter to ensure fluid cleanliness. The filter can be funnel-shaped, and its own cleanliness can be measured by the change in differential pressure at both ends. Only by providing appropriate external conditions can the normal operation of the electromagnetic flowmeter be guaranteed, and the safe production of the electromagnetic flowmeter can be guaranteed.
