Electromagnetic flowmeter is suitable for measuring the volume flow of conductive liquids and slurries in closed pipelines, in the process of using some problems may occur, such as Supmea electromagnetic flowmeter no flow signal output, the flowmeter manufacturer Supmea for you to briefly analyze the reasons.
cause of issue:
1. The converter components are damaged.
2. The cable connection is abnormal.
3. The liquid flow conditions do not meet the installation requirements.
4. The sensor components are damaged or there is an adhesion layer on the inner wall of the measurement.
5. The power supply of the instrument is abnormal.
Solution:
1. If the fault is determined to be caused by damage to the converter components, simply replace the damaged components.
2. Check whether the cable is intact and the connection is correct.
3. Check the direction of liquid flow and whether the liquid in the pipe is full. For electromagnetic flowmeters that can measure in both directions, if the directions are inconsistent, they can be measured, but the set display flow in both directions does not match, and must be corrected. If the workload of removing the sensor is large, you can also change the direction of the arrow on the sensor and reset the display instrument symbol. The main reason why the pipeline is not full of liquid is that the sensor is not installed properly. Measures should be taken during installation to avoid the pipeline being not full of liquid.
4. Check the integrity of the transmitter and whether the inner wall of the measuring tube is covered with a liquid scarring layer. For measuring liquids that are prone to scarring, clean them regularly. Also check the integrity of each terminal and excitation coil, as well as the condition of the inner wall of the measuring tube.
5. Confirm that the power supply has been connected, check whether the output voltages of the power circuit board are normal, or try to replace the entire power circuit board to determine whether it is good or bad.
Supmea has been producing electromagnetic flowmeters for many years. If you encounter any problems during the selection, installation, use and maintenance of electromagnetic flowmeters, you can contact Supmea staff at any time and we will help you answer them.
