What data to know to choose the right radar level meter

2025-02-20

High-frequency radar level meters use non-contact measurement for a wide range of applications.

High-frequency radar level meter adopts non-contact measurement and has a wide range of applications. It is suitable for measurement in various containers such as acid and alkali storage tanks, slurry storage tanks, solid particles, small oil storage tanks, etc. It can detect various types of conductive, non-conductive and corrosive media. It has high measurement accuracy, high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance, will not be affected by scaling and condensate, has strong corrosion resistance, and can be used in vacuum environment. What data should be known to choose a suitable radar level meter?

  1. The type of medium to be measured must first know whether the measured medium is solid or liquid. If it is solid, then whether it is accompanied by dust. If it is liquid, then whether there is steam, foam, stirring, etc.

  2. The temperature of the measured medium and whether there is pressure.

  3. Whether the measured medium is corrosive, whether the environment is an open environment or a tank, if it is a tank, what is the material of the tank, and whether there is an anti-corrosion lining.

  4. Whether the high-frequency radar level meter needs to be explosion-proof and anti-corrosion.

  5. What is the range to be measured and what is the required blind area.

  6. The connection method required on site, flange connection or threaded connection.

  7. The working environment to be measured: open pool, covered pool or tank. The tank should be horizontal, vertical or spherical, and whether the tank is at the same atmospheric pressure.

  8. Working voltage: 24VDC. 9. Output signal: 4~20mA current.
