Radar level meter affects the measurement accuracy factors and processing methods: radar level meter has the advantages of low maintenance, high performance, high accuracy, high reliability and long service life.
Compared with contact instruments such as capacitors and weights, it has superiority. The transmission of microwave signals is not affected by the atmosphere, so it can meet the requirements of harsh environments such as volatile gases, high temperature, high pressure, steam, vacuum and high dust in the process. Factors affecting the measurement accuracy of radar level meters:
1. The influence of liquid medium characteristics on the measurement range Considering that the physical characteristics of the measured liquid medium have a greater impact on the measurement range: liquids with a smaller dielectric constant have a greater impact on the measurement distance of the radar level meter, which reduces the measurement range; liquids with a larger dielectric constant have a smaller impact on the measurement distance of the radar level meter, which increases the measurement range. In order to ensure higher measurement accuracy, liquids can be divided into four categories: A, B, C, and D. Category A: non-conductive liquids, such as propane, etc., with a dielectric constant of less than 1.4, have a greater impact on the measurement distance, making the measurement range small; Category B: non-conductive liquids, such as gasoline, petroleum, etc., with a dielectric constant of about 1.9 to 4, have a greater impact on the measurement distance, and a medium measurement range; Category C: such as concentrated acids, organic solvents vinegar, ethanol, acetone, oil-water mixtures, etc., with a dielectric constant of about 4 to 10, have a smaller impact on the measurement distance, and a large measurement range; Category D: conductive liquids, such as aqueous solutions, diluted acids and alkalis, etc., with a dielectric constant > 10, have a small impact on the measurement distance, and a large measurement range.
2. The influence of measuring liquid surface characteristics on the measuring distance. The shape of the storage tank has basically no effect on the measuring range and measurement accuracy of the radar level meter. However, when ripples appear on the surface of the measured liquid, the reflected waves on the liquid surface interfere with the measurement of the radar level meter and directly affect the measurement accuracy. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the measurement range to ensure the measurement accuracy.
