This article gives a brief introduction to the installation methods of industrial instruments such as electromagnetic flowmeters.
A large amount of liquid media is needed in the industrial production process. The measurement of the volume, mass, specific gravity, liquid level and other parameters of such liquid media requires the use of a large number of industrial instruments, such as flow meters, liquid level meters, density meters, etc. Plan and so on. These instruments are all called process instruments, of which flow meters are one of the most important branches. They are of various types and specifications, such as common electromagnetic flow meters, turbine flow meters, vortex flow meters, orifice flow meters, ultrasonic flow meters, etc. Flow meter etc. Each flow meter connection method is also different. The installation method to be adopted needs to be based on the working condition requirements of the measurement site, as well as the considerations of accuracy and cost during production. This article gives a brief introduction to the installation methods of industrial instruments such as electromagnetic flowmeters.
1. Flange connection: This connection method is commonly used. Electromagnetic flowmeters, turbine flowmeters, Roots flowmeters, etc. all have this connection method. Just connect the flanges at both ends. Just fix it with the flange on the pipe with bolts. During installation, the flange specifications and standards of the pipe and the flow meter need to match. A total of four flanges are required. Generally, pipes with a diameter larger than DN25 adopt this installation method, which is the most common connection method among flowmeter connections.
2. Threaded connection: There are also some flow meters that use threaded connection. This connection method is mostly for pipe diameters less than DN50, because the pipe diameter is too small to install a flange. This installation method is usually used in the medical and food industries. More, because the liquid media in the medical and food industries are much smaller than those in chemical and petroleum industries, and the required pipe diameter is also smaller, so threaded connections are generally used.
3. Wafer-type connection: This connection method is relatively simple and convenient. Weld the flange on the flow meter to the pipe, and then place the flow meter between the two flanges and fix it with threads, because the flow meter itself does not A flange is required, and this installation method only requires two flanges in total. It is most common that many vortex flowmeters adopt this connection method.
4. Clean clamp connection: Nowadays, some small-diameter, low-pressure pipelines use this kind of connection. Through this connection form, the flow meter can be quickly installed and disassembled, and its daily cleaning and maintenance are also very convenient. , so the flowmeter using this installation method is also called a sanitary flowmeter or a quick-installation flowmeter.
5. In addition, for example, electromagnetic flowmeters and vortex flowmeters can also be installed in a plug-in installation method. The plug-in installation method can be installed without interrupting the flow of the pipeline and without affecting the current work. The disadvantage is that the measurement accuracy is low. If you are in an environment with low control requirements, it is a good choice regardless of cost or installation simplicity. For flow meter manufacturers, the purpose of communicating with customers is to select flow meters. At this time, they will definitely ask what kind of connection method the other party needs. In addition to knowing the connection method, you also need to know how big the flange is, what standard size flange it is; what kind of thread, internal or external thread, how many inches of thread, etc. Correct choice of connection partyformula is the prerequisite to ensure normal use of the flow meter.
