Precautions when using electromagnetic flowmeters
Electromagnetic flowmeters are commonly used flow measurement equipment in modern chemical production, but you need to pay attention to the following points during use:
1. Correct installation: The electromagnetic flowmeter should be installed in an area with long straight sections upstream and downstream of the pipeline, without elbows, and without the influence of pumps or valves. When installing horizontally, ensure that the verticality deviation does not exceed 3°.
2. Appropriate selection: The appropriate electromagnetic flowmeter model and material should be selected according to the properties of the liquid to be measured. For example, when measuring corrosive media, a PTFE-lined electromagnetic flowmeter can be used, while for high-temperature media, an electromagnetic flowmeter made of high-temperature resistant materials needs to be used.
3. Clean: When changing the type of measurement liquid, all the original liquid must be drained out and cleaned to avoid data errors caused by contamination or mutual mixing.
4. Prevent external interference: Due to the high sensitivity of the electromagnetic flowmeter, it should be avoided to be co-arranged with other live devices when in use. At the same time, personnel should be prohibited from approaching the switch box operating buttons to avoid affecting signal collection.
5. Regular maintenance: Regularly check the circuit joints of the electromagnetic flowmeter and the sensor surface for dust accumulation, looseness, etc., and maintain them to ensure normal operation.
