What are the common failures of split electromagnetic flowmeter?

Although split electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used in many industries and have helped many customers solve many problems in practical applications, some failures will inevitably occur during use. There are many reasons for faults. Only by finding the root cause of the fault can we solve the problem better and faster. What are the common faults of split electromagnetic flowmeters? How to solve it?

1. There is output when the liquid is not flowing:

1. There is a break in the signal transmission cable connection with the converter;

2. The connection between the signal cable and the electrode is open;

3. The surface of the electrode is contaminated or an insulating layer is deposited; 4. The grounding is poor or the circuit is open.

Solution:

1. Connect the cable;

2. Open the sensor and reconnect it;

3. Scrub Electrode surface;

4. Connect the ground wire.

2. The error is too large:

1. The zero point is too high;

2. Not completely filled with liquid;

3. The power supply distortion is too large;

4. Poor grounding.

Solution:

1. Re-adjust the zero point;

2. Improve the pipeline conditions so that the sensor is always filled with liquid;

3. Improve the power supply conditions to meet normal working conditions;

4. Connect the ground wire.

3. The split electromagnetic flowmeter has no display and output signal:

Solution:

1. Check the power supply (including fuses and fuses) Open circuit or short circuit;

2. Check the connecting cable (excitation line, signal line) for open circuit or short circuit;

3. Check whether the converter related functions are turned on;

4. Check whether the converter is damaged.

4. Split electromagnetic flowmeter over-full display and output signal:

Solution:

1. Check whether the sensor is empty;

2. Check whether the signal cable is open;

3. Check whether there is any interference signal introduced from the pipeline or cable;

4. Check whether the converter setting is wrong; 

5. Check whether the rear instrument is misconfigured.
