It can be used to measure the flow rate of various suspended matter, gasified vapor and viscous substances such as acid, alkali, salt solution, coal water slurry, mineral slurry, mortar, pulp, resin, rubber latex, synthetic fiber pulp and photosensitive latex. The electromagnetic flowmeter has good sealing performance and can also be used in tap water and underground sewer systems. Moreover, the measurement process does not come into contact with fluids, making it suitable for pharmaceutical, biochemical and food industries. This flow meter also detects blood flow. Its range ratio is about 100:1, and its accuracy is generally 1%. Since this sensor must maintain a certain proportional relationship between the resistance within the pipeline and the impedance of the measurement circuit, it is difficult to manufacture. Difficulties begin to arise when the conductivity of the measured medium is about 10 ohm·cm, and fundamental difficulties arise when the conductivity is lower. When the conductivity is 10 ohm·cm, the "demarcation line" between conductive media and dielectric media is reached, and the thermal noise level increases significantly with the increase in internal resistance.
