However, due to changes in environmental conditions or limitations of installation conditions, some problems or failures have also occurred, which should be solved or avoided, mainly as follows:

1. The installation conditions of the flowmeter are not met. The electromagnetic flowmeter has higher requirements for the straight section of the pipeline. This can be met as much as possible when designing a new water plant, but for old water plants For factory modification or installation, the above conditions become almost harsh. This affects the measurement stability. The solution is to install a rectifier tube to improve the flow characteristics.

2. The flow rate of the water being measured is too low, which affects the accuracy of the measurement. Especially for flowmeters installed at the boundaries of some areas, because they are at the end of the regional company's pipe network, the pressure difference is small and the flow rate is too low. The solution is to open the valves on both sides of the boundary as much as possible.

3. There is air in the water in the pipeline, which causes large fluctuations in measurement and affects the stability. The solution is to try to find the source of the gas and solve it, and if necessary, install an exhaust valve in the pipeline.

4. The surface of the sensor electrode of the flow meter installed in the raw water pipeline is contaminated by silt deposits, which affects the measurement. The solution is to perform regular maintenance and cleaning.

5. Lightning strikes damage the converter of the electromagnetic flowmeter, making it impossible to measure. The solution is to install corresponding lightning arresters at the signal input end, excitation current input end and working power supply end of the converter.

6. The accumulation of foreign matter in the inlet pipe of the electromagnetic flowmeter causes sudden changes in the flow characteristics of the measured water body, which affects the measurement accuracy and causes large errors. The solution is to promptly remove foreign matter accumulated in the pipeline.
