Oval gear flowmeter (also known as displacement flowmeter, gear flowmeter) is a type of positive displacement flowmeter and a high-precision flowmeter type. Mechanical metering elements are used to continuously divide the liquid into a known volume fraction, with the total flow rate depending on how many times the metering chamber is filled and the volume fraction is continuously discharged.
