When a conductor moves in a magnetic field cutting magnetic field lines, an induced electric potential will be generated in the conductor. The magnitude of the induced electric potential is proportional to the effective length of the conductor in the magnetic field and the speed of the conductor moving perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field. In the same way, when the conductive fluid flows in the vertical direction in the magnetic field and cuts the magnetic induction force lines, it will also generate an induced electric potential on the electrodes on both sides of the pipe.

1. Accuracy level and functions. Select the accuracy level of the instrument according to the measurement requirements and usage occasions to achieve economical results.
2. Try to avoid ferromagnetic objects and equipment with strong electromagnetic fields to prevent the magnetic field from affecting the working magnetic field and flow signal of the sensor.
3. Measuring medium flow rate, instrument range and caliber: When measuring general media, the full-scale flow rate of the electromagnetic flowmeter can be selected within the range of 0.5-12m/s for measuring the medium flow rate, which is relatively wide. The instrument specification (diameter) selected is not necessarily the same as the process pipeline. It should be determined based on whether the measured flow range is within the flow rate range. That is, when the pipeline flow rate is low and cannot meet the requirements of the flow meter or the measurement accuracy cannot be guaranteed at this flow rate, It is necessary to reduce the diameter of the instrument to increase the flow rate in the pipe and obtain satisfactory measurement results.
Installation points of electromagnetic flowmeter LDCK:
The sensor should be installed in a dry and ventilated place indoors. Avoid installation in places where the ambient temperature is too high, should not be subject to strong vibration, and try to avoid equipment with strong magnetic fields, such as large motors, transformers, etc. Avoid installation in places with corrosive gases. The installation location is convenient for inspection and maintenance. This is the environmental condition that ensures the normal operation of the sensor.
In order to ensure that the sensor measuring tube is filled with the measured medium, it is best to install the transmitter vertically with the flow direction from bottom to top. Especially for liquid-solid two-phase flow, it must be installed vertically. If only horizontal installation is allowed on site, it must be ensured that the two electrodes are on the same horizontal plane
Valves and bypasses should be installed at both ends of the sensor.
