Insertion electromagnetic flowmeter composition and installation precautions

  Insertion type electromagnetic flowmeter, designed for large-scale pipeline flow measurement design, widely used in petrochemical industry, iron and steel metallurgy, water supply and drainage systems, water irrigation, water treatment facilities, environmental protection and sewage monitoring, pharmaceutical manufacturing and food processing and many other fields.

  First, the core components of the ball valve insertion type electromagnetic flowmeter sensor:

  1, detection unit: integrated electrode, excitation winding, core and connecting wires, responsible for the collection of flow signals.

  2、Insertion rod: as a bridge, connecting the detection unit and signal converter.

  3、Installation attachment: a section of Φ60×3 pipe, which needs to be welded to the main pipe to provide the installation base for the sensor.

  4、Valve / short pipe section: 2″ stainless steel ball valve or short pipe section is designed to facilitate the removal and installation of the sensor without interrupting the fluid.

  5、Sealing and fastening components: including transition joints, compression nuts and special seals to ensure the sealing of the sensor and the pipeline.

  6、Junction box (integrated direct connection converter): to achieve the sensor and the converter between the excitation current and signal precise docking.

  Second, the installation process in detail:

  1. Opening and welding: Precisely cut a round hole of Φ60-62mm right above the intended measuring point of the pipeline, ensuring that the edge of the hole is smooth and flawless. Afterwards, remove the mounting accessories from the sensor and firmly weld them to the hole, make sure the lower end of the mounting piece is flush with the inner wall of the pipeline, and check that there is no leakage.

  2、Pre-loosen the locking parts and record: Record the initial distance between the locking screws and the handle, then gently loosen the three locking screws of the sensor, and withdraw the detection rod and detection unit as a whole, taking care to keep the connection between the detection unit and the insertion rod intact.

  3、Installation of the valve and sealing: After wrapping raw tape around the upper thread of the mounting parts, screw the ball valve together with the sealing and locking mechanism into place.

  4, re-insertion and locking: slowly insert the detection rod from above, moderately tighten the locking nut, confirm the installation is complete by comparing the spacing between the locking screw and the handle with the recorded value.

  5, adjust the insertion depth: to ensure that the electrode is located in the average flow rate position, usually set at a distance of H = 0.25D from the pipe wall (D for the inner diameter of the pipe, i.e., one-quarter of the pipe diameter). After the adjustment, tighten the lock nut with force and fix the three lock screws.

  III. Installation Precautions:

  Safety considerations: In view of the pressure in the pipeline may produce external thrust on the detection rod, it is recommended that the installation be carried out in a non-pressure (shutdown) state. If conditions do not allow, the pipeline pressure needs to be temporarily reduced to ≤ 0.2Mpa below.

  The above steps can ensure the correct installation and efficient operation of the insertion electromagnetic flowmeter.
