Precautions for selecting electromagnetic flowmeters for chemical wastewater.

Precautions for selecting electromagnetic flowmeters for chemical wastewater

1. When choosing an electromagnetic flowmeter, you must first determine whether the fluid can conduct electricity. If it cannot conduct electricity, it is not suitable. Electromagnetic flowmeter.

2. Whether the fluid is corrosive should be considered. If it is corrosive, corrosion resistance requirements need to be put forward for the lining material. Generally, acid-resistant rubber and polytetrafluoroethylene have better corrosion resistance, while natural rubber, neoprene rubber and polyurethane rubber have poor corrosion resistance.

3. The fluid temperature must be considered. Polytetrafluoroethylene has a wide temperature adaptability range, from ℃ to +150℃. Polyurethane rubber can only withstand temperatures below 40℃, and other rubbers generally do not exceed 80℃.

4. It is necessary to consider whether the fluid contains particulate matter impurities. Particulate matter will cause wear to the inner wall of the pipe, and the wear resistance of the lining material needs to be considered. Polyurethane rubber has better wear resistance among lining materials, neoprene is also good, and other materials are relatively weak.

5. Consider the environmental conditions of the installation location. The chemical wastewater electromagnetic flowmeter's resistance to electromagnetic field interference is relatively weak, which is determined by its working principle. Therefore, when there is strong electromagnetic wave interference nearby, or there is a substation or center line grounding pile of a transformer near the pipeline, it is necessary to It is not suitable to install a current flow meter.

6. Consider the matching and economy of flow and pipeline. Try to maintain a flow velocity of more than 0.5m/s in the pipeline, because the lower the flow velocity, the weaker the induced electromotive force, the more inaccurate the flow meter will be, and it will also be susceptible to interference. Generally, if you need to consider saving energy consumption in pipeline transportation, the economic flow rate is generally 2m/s to 3m/s. The higher the flow rate, the faster the fluid transportation speed, but the energy consumption increases with the square of the flow rate. Therefore, when the flow rate is too low, the pipe should be narrowed to increase the flow rate; when the flow rate is too high and there are no special requirements for the process, the pipe can be expanded to reduce the flow rate.

7. Avoid soaking the electromagnetic flowmeter in water as much as possible. If soaked in water for a long time, the sensor of the current flow meter will be susceptible to moisture, and the measurement performance will be reduced or even damaged.
