Electromagnetic flow meters measure flow by measuring the electromagnetic induction voltage signal generated by a fluid in a pipe.
1. Introduction to electromagnetic flowmeter
Electromagnetic flowmeter is a device that measures flow by measuring the voltage signal generated by electromagnetic induction when fluid moves in a conductor pipe. This flow meter mainly consists of measuring tube, electrode and converter. The electrode collects the voltage signal generated by the fluid flow, processes and calculates it through the converter, and finally outputs the flow signal.
2. Reasons why the electromagnetic flowmeter displays zero
1. Power supply failure: The electromagnetic flowmeter requires external power supply. If there is an abnormality in the power supply line or insufficient power supply, it will cause electromagnetic failure. A zero value appears on the flowmeter's display screen.
2. Signal line failure: Poor contact in the signal line of the electromagnetic flowmeter, aging of the cable, or electromagnetic interference will also cause a zero value to appear on the display screen of the electromagnetic flowmeter.
3. Measuring tube blockage: Too much sediment accumulated in the measuring tube of the electromagnetic flowmeter and blockage will hinder the flow of fluid, causing a zero value to appear on the display screen of the electromagnetic flowmeter.
4. Electrode surface accumulation: Too much dirt may accumulate on the electrode surface of an electromagnetic flowmeter that has been used for a long time, which may lead to poor electrode contact and a zero value.
5. Transmitter damage: Integrated circuits and other components in the electromagnetic flowmeter transmitter may also be damaged during long-term use, resulting in a zero value.
3. How to eliminate the problem of electromagnetic flowmeter displaying zero
1. Check whether the power line is normal and ensure that the electromagnetic flowmeter is powered normally.
2. Check whether the signal line is in good contact and make sure there is no interference.
3. Clean the sediment in the measuring pipe to ensure smooth flow.
4. Clean the dirt on the electrode surface to ensure that the electrode can accurately collect voltage signals.
5. Replace the transmitter components to ensure the normal operation of the flow meter.
