When it comes to electromagnetic flowmeters, many people will say, isn’t it just for measuring flow? Yes, it is indeed used to measure flow.
Flow has now become an elusive thing in the minds of many people. With flow, there is a code for wealth. However, the flow mentioned here is completely different from what everyone knows. It refers to the flow of fluid media through the cross-section of the pipeline in unit time. volume flow or mass flow. For example, how many cubic meters flow in one hour, or how many kilograms flow in one minute.
Therefore, an electromagnetic flowmeter is an instrument for measuring fluid media, such as chemical liquids, mud, mortar, wastewater, seawater, industrial sewage, domestic sewage, etc., which can all be measured with an electromagnetic flowmeter.
Induced electromotive force formula: E=BLV
An electromagnetic flowmeter is designed, the magnetic induction intensity B is fixed, L is fixed, and the fluid medium velocity V changes. L usually refers to the diameter of the electromagnetic flowmeter. With L, the cross-sectional area A can be calculated. Flow Q=AV, which is the product of flow measurement and flow velocity, so the electromagnetic flowmeter is also one of the velocity flowmeters.
It is not difficult to find that according to its principle, some issues cannot be ignored, such as the conductivity of the fluid medium, and secondly, the fluid medium must be full of pipes. If the fluid medium is not conductive and cannot cut the magnetic field lines, there will be no induced electromotive force. Secondly, the induced electromotive force generated by the dissatisfied tube will be inaccurate, resulting in inaccurate electromagnetic flow measurement. This will cause considerable losses, especially when using To measure transactions.
The hardware problems of the electromagnetic flowmeter were discussed earlier. Of course, the installation is also an important issue that affects the accuracy of the electromagnetic flowmeter measurement.
During the installation process, you need to pay attention to the distance between the front and rear pipes of the electromagnetic flowmeter. When measuring fluid media, it is necessary to maintain uniform motion, so that the flow measurement can be reflected more accurately. When installing an electromagnetic flowmeter, if you encounter flow-blocking parts such as elbows, right-angle pipes, valves, pumps and other flow-blocking parts, the fluid flow rate in this place is definitely not uniform. In order to maintain a uniform speed, it is only necessary to connect these flow-blocking parts. They should be separated by a certain distance, at least not less than 10 times the pipe diameter. The more severe the obstruction to the fluid medium, the farther away the electromagnetic flowmeter is required to be installed.
The last issue is the installation direction. The electromotive force is a DC voltage, which has positive and negative polarities. If the installation direction is reversed, the measurement will definitely be wrong. Therefore, as long as the installation direction of the electromagnetic flowmeter is consistent with the flow direction of the fluid medium. Sometimes it is not convenient to dismantle and reinstall. You can directly set the direction, which is also a measure to make up for carelessness during the installation process.
