Electromagnetic flowmeter is a flowmeter that measures flow based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction.

Case introduction

Electromagnetic flowmeter is a flowmeter that measures flow based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. Its types include: intelligent electromagnetic flowmeter, split electromagnetic flowmeter, integrated electromagnetic flowmeter, plug-in electromagnetic flowmeter. The product has guaranteed quality, good stability and high cost performance. Electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used in sewage, fluorine chemicals, production water, tap water industry, medicine, steel and many other aspects.

Our manufacturer's technicians analyzed and summarized the faults that occurred after using the electromagnetic flowmeter, and found that the reasons for the unstable operation of the electromagnetic flowmeter are as follows:

If the measuring medium in the pipe is not full of the pipe, the electromagnetic flowmeter will not work properly. Because, when the medium is not full of the tube, the most common application failure of the electromagnetic flowmeter will occur.

There are generally two possibilities for this situation.

1. The flow rate of the medium in the pipeline is very low, causing the pipe to be full and the measurement error of the flow meter to increase;

2. The medium cannot fully pass the electrode, so the flowmeter cannot work at all. Therefore, in any case, it is necessary to ensure that the measuring medium in the pipeline is full before using the electromagnetic flowmeter for measurement.

Second, the measurement medium contains a large amount of air and gas, which will also cause the electromagnetic flowmeter to fail to work properly. The existence of these bubbles causes the flowmeter to be unable to accurately identify, interfering with its accurate measurement.

Third, the electromagnetic flowmeter cannot be used for short-duration batching operations. This is because the electromagnetic flowmeter cannot start and stop repeatedly normally, and there is a time lag between its start and the correct reading.

Fourth, the electromagnetic flowmeter itself cannot measure mass flow. The electromagnetic flowmeter is a speed flowmeter that measures volume flow. To measure mass flow, it must be converted with a high-precision density measuring device.

Therefore, technicians remind us that as long as we carefully analyze the reasons for the instability or error of the electromagnetic flowmeter, prescribe the right medicine and take correct measures to solve the problem, we can obtain accurate measurement values. At the same time, the technical editor also introduced that the main reasons for the signal getting smaller and smaller when the electromagnetic flowmeter is working are:

1. There may be dirt deposited on the inner wall of the measuring conduit, and the electrodes should be cleaned and wiped.

2. The lining of the measuring catheter may be damaged and should be replaced.

3. The signal socket may be corroded and should be replaced and cleaned.
