Electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used. Improper selection, installation, and use will cause increased errors, unstable indications, and even damage to the meter body.
Electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used. Improper selection, installation, and use will cause increased errors, unstable indications, and even damage to the meter body.
1. Causes of instability:
1. The liquid in the tube is not full. Due to insufficient back pressure or poor installation position of the flow sensor, the liquid in the measuring tube cannot be filled, resulting in malfunction. The phenomenon manifests itself differently depending on the degree of underfill and flow conditions.
2. A small amount of gas flows in a stratified or wavy manner in the water pipe. The fault phenomenon is an increase in error, that is, the flow measurement value does not match the actual value;
3. When flowing Bubble flow or plug flow, in addition to the measured value being inconsistent with the actual value, the fault phenomenon may also cause the output to slosh due to the gas phase momentarily covering the electrode surface;
4. The flow cross-sectional area of the gas phase in the stratified flow of the horizontal pipeline Partial increase, that is, the liquid is not full of the tube, and the output is incorrect. If the liquid is not full of the tube, the situation is serious, causing the liquid level to be below the electrode, and the output is over-full.
2. What are the effects of other impurities in the flow meter:
1. Slurry noise;
2. Contamination of the electrode surface;
3. The conductive deposition layer or the insulating deposition layer covers the electrode or lining;
4. The lining is worn or covered with sediment, and the flow cross-sectional area is reduced.
