A thermal mass flow meter is a sensor that calculates flow rate by detecting changes in the temperature of the fluid, and consists mainly of two parts: a heater and a pyrometer. During the measurement process, the heater heats the fluid and increases its temperature, and the pyrometer measures the difference between the fluid temperature and the pre-heating temperature and uses this to estimate the flow rate.
