Electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used and can be used in basically common industrial control environments, such as sewage treatment, chemistry, food, etc. Today I will introduce the correct use and installation of electromagnetic flowmeter. In order to avoid functional damage caused by misuse, the instructions must be strictly followed. There are some additional considerations to take a look at as well. This is the experience summarized by the predecessors, which can ensure the operation of the electromagnetic flowmeter.

Frequently asked questions about electromagnetic flowmeters:

First of all, the electromagnetic flowmeter should be kept as far away from magnetic materials and strong electromagnetic field equipment as possible. Because it is very susceptible to magnetic fields, only this device can work properly. Electromagnetic flowmeters also have very high requirements on environment and temperature. When installing, choose a dry and ventilated place. The temperature is between 20 degrees and 65 degrees, and the humidity in the air must be below 80% to make it easier to rotate instantly and have a longer life. The use and maintenance of electromagnetic flowmeters are the same as other flowmeters. Paying attention to the conditions during use can greatly reduce malfunctions.

1. The cable joints should be kept clean, dry, waterproof, and moist. The flow meter and each cable head cover should be rotated in time every time it is used.

2. It is forbidden to connect the flowmeter during circulation to avoid hard rock chips in the circulating fluid from eroding and damaging the lining of the flowmeter and affecting the measurement accuracy.

3. Electromagnetic flowmeter transmitters are not interchangeable.

4. The lining cannot be scratched or poked by hard objects, which will damage its smoothness.

5. After each use, be sure to clean the flowmeter lining and reducer short-circuit with clean water (without oil) in time (clean with water gun, soft cloth). It is strictly prohibited to interact with various oils. Such substances contaminate the measuring electrode contacts and damage the insulating lining.

6. If a flow rate jump occurs when the pump is turned on, the accumulated liquid volume should be "cleared" promptly to eliminate the measurement error caused by the signal jump.

7. To keep the electromagnetic flowmeter transmitter (including the display device) clean, it must be used indoors, waterproof, moisture-proof, vibration and collision-proof, and all cables kept clean.

8. The 220V AC cable head and socket of the electromagnetic flowmeter must not be affected by moisture or water. Do not connect wires with wet hands when power is on to avoid the risk of electric shock.

9. After each slurry replacement measurement, fill in the construction date, construction well number, design maximum capacity, and flow meter cumulative volume data in the operation record form.

10. The insulating material on the inner wall of the electromagnetic flowmeter must not come into contact with oily substances, acids, and alkaline substances to prevent performance degradation and scrapping caused by aging of the insulating material.

11. During installation, disassembly, transportation and storage, it is strictly prohibited to throw it from the vehicle or drop it to the ground to prevent the internal precision coil from being deformed, disconnected and the flow meter damaged due to strong vibration.

12. Strictly implement the equipment entry and return inspection system. Power on and check the working status before and after each use.
